Shirley Temple Floats for Valentine's Day

Think pink and quick and easy for celebrating Valentine's Day with little ones. Your Shirley Temple floats don't have to be as messy as mine to be a special and fun treat.

Light and fluffy clouds of whipped cream lightly sweetened with grenadine syrup makes brownies or bowls of ice cream a child's delight

I used itty-bitty parfait glasses and thus the overflow. The kids loved the fizzy mess but next time we will pour more slowly :)
Boxed brownies cut with heart-shaped cookie cutters with dollops of fresh whipped cream and heart sprinkles served on little plates with tiny forks. That's how our preschoolers like Valentine's Day parties.
We even brought a little puppy love to the party.

In a glass, add a splash (more in a bigger glass)  of grenadine syrup and s.l.o.w.l.y add ginger ale leaving room for a scoop vanilla ice cream; Top with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry; add a fun straw.

Pink Whipped Cream

1/2 pint heavy cream
2 Tbs grenadine syrup
2 Tbs. confectioners' sugar

Beat ingredients together until peaks form. Serve on brownies, pound cake, fruit or pudding.

Looks scrumptious! I've been under the weather with a nasty cold so my sweetheart prepared a delicious salmon dinner for me last night, complete with a beautifully decorated table. The only problem is that I couldn't taste much of it! He was so sweet to do that for me.
