Full English Breakfast

Hard to believe it has been a year since our trip to London, England. I recreated the full English Breakfast meal we enjoyed at our hotel each morning before heading to the tube for that days adventure.

This hearty meal fueled us for the miles of walking we did each day and kept us satisfied through to supper. Each day we walked past St Pancras Renaissance Hotel (above photo) located near our hotel to the train station just behind the building.

A traditional full English breakfast, among the most internationally recognized British dishes, is usually served for breakfast but many cafés and pubs offer the meal at any time of day. It usually includes bacon, sausages, fried, poached or scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, toast with butter, and baked beans along with a beverage such as coffee or tea.
Here is a photo of the Millennial Pedestrian Bridge we walked over after touring St. Peters Cathedral.
No recipe required for the typical foods here but if you'd prefer to make homemade baked beans instead of using canned, you might like to try my favorite recipe here. Substitute dried navy beans for the Lima beans.

I love a full fry. I'll often choose an all day breakfast if we eat out later in the day. Nothing like a full English to keep you going for the day😀. Glad you still have happy memories of your trip over. 💕

Now that is what I call a breakfast. Bacon and sausage is good since I always have a hard time deciding which I want. The tomatoes and mushrooms are a yummy addition. I never would have thought to have baked beans for breakfast but why not, they are good

Your photos show a beautiful English breakfast! I don't remember having mushrooms but everything else was what we enjoyed. Mushrooms would be a welcome addition as I love them. I also like making "European" breakfasts--hard boiled eggs, cold cuts. breads and yogurt.
