Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

Seems appropriate to share a sweet treat as I wrap up Cambrie and Chloe's stay with us last week.

Sugar and spice and everything nice... if you have a little girls in your life, you know what I mean.

Since my grandchildren visit my blog more often than my daughters, simply because they love seeing the photos of themselves and each other, I am filling this post with pics of the end of the week.
Bubbles... bubble baths, blowing bubbles or washing dishes with a sink full of suds. They love it all.
Walks around the yard with Raider and PopPop.
We met up with my sister, her daughter, Chrissy and granddaughter, Olivia for a visit to a family fun Center and dinner at Chick-fil-A. Livvy and Cambrie don't see each other very often, but since they were little, they immediately formed a friendship and love playing together.
Chloe didn't want to climb the ladders and tall slides but she gave it her best shot at all of the games she tried. I noticed a look of displeasure as I watched her on a small climbing slide. When she came near, I asked if she was bothered by a little boy playing on the slide next to her. Her face looked sad and her voice lowered as she told me, "Him called me a baby, and he touched my foot."  Then added, "I not a baby, I a tobbler."
How excited they were to make valentines for their family.
 and decorate with heart stickers

and take a little bagful of their love notes home!

The house is back in order and my heart is full, but oh, how much better the mornings were when these two cherubs tumbled out of bed and down the stairs for a new day!
Oh, and if Diana's Delicious Caramels (pictured at the top of this post) were not already addictive, I dipped some in melted chocolate. Here is how to make these crazy-good treats.

These pictures warmed my heart this morning. I love seeing how you and your husband integrate holidays and the love for your family together. They are learning so much from that interaction and from your examples. Each picture clearly depicts that to be true.

Sweet pictures, but I can't get my mind off of those chocolate covered caramels. Thanks for calling this to my attention. This certainly looks worth trying.
