Think on These Things #7 Pierced

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:6
He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth
Isaiah 53:7
He poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Isaiah 53:12
Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.
Isaiah 53:4
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
John 1:29

How good to be reminded of what is important and precious. That one thing that is vital above all else...to accept Christ as Saviour. I'm thankful for your lovely post...

These verses and the cross that you created are wonderful reminders this Holy Week, Lorraine. Our 4 year old Maya has had many questions about Christ's death on the cross and His resurrection; perhaps she and I will make a cross from sticks when she visits tomorrow and reread out of her children's Bible again the wonderful story of Easter. I am not participating this week in Think On These Things, but I will surely enjoy the other links when I can.

May you and your family be blessed this Easter.
