Barn Swallows

My photos are totally blurred and out of focus but still a thrill to see this pair of barn swallows swoop and swirl on the front porch early one morning.

I love watching the Barn Swallows with their forked tails and curved pointed wings. I think their coloring is pretty, but
they can be messy housekeepers when living nearby ; ).

They look pretty here but I have come to dislike this bird. They just love to build mud nests all over stucco houses with peaks and it it impossible to keep them off a house!

I like your pictures, they not only are beautiful shots, but like 'art'. Happy day wishes to you!

Pure delight!

On another note, I've been meaning to tell you that I've made the coconut custard pie three times since you posted the recipe. It's become a favorite.

If you wouldn't have said anything about your pictures being out of focus I would have thought they were meant to be that way. It gives them a dreamy sort of look. What fun it had to have been to sit and watch them.

Even 'out of focus' pictures on your blog look straight out of Country Living. Beautiful!

They are beautiful and one year we let them build their nest on our porch and they were so mean, attacking me every time I went out side.{lol} It is funny to me now but wasn't then.
This year they came back to build and I said "no Vacancy" {smile.} Thanks for sharing as always I enjoy my visit. The wren story was beautiful.

I've always liked swallows. We have a real big section of lawn we mow out in front of the house. If we mow late in the afternoon/early evening. The swallows will swoop around the mower diving for bugs coming up from the grass I guess.

Swallows are one of my favorite birds to watch. They are truly nature's acrobats. Great photos!
