With a Grateful Prayer and a Thankful Heart: Springtime in Paris

Springtime in Paris

John took a vacation day yesterday and we headed to Paris.
Springtime in Paris
at the
2011 Philadelphia International Flower Show.

It was filled with gorgeous displays
and it was filled with people!
We took the High Speedline in to the city, boarding at the second station from south Jersey and the train was full.  We stood and held tight as each stop filled with more and more passengers.

Shoulder-to-shoulder, we all made our way past innumerable blooms in all their glory.

I can't begin to imagine how many photos were taken ~ the loveliest and choicest specimens were on display for all to enjoy.

Fanciful carousel topiaries delighted those in the courtyard.
The Philadelphia Flower Show is the largest indoor flower show ~
33 acres!
It attracts 250,000 visitors and brings $61 million economic impact to the city.

It was hard to find an open area to step back enough for a photo but toward the end we were able to snap a few of each other.

Just what the Dr. ordered for the Winter Blahs! Looks like you had a great vacation! ;~P
Gentleman Farmer and I recently attended the Northwest Flower and Garden Show. We had a grand time also while snowflakes swirled about outside! But Spring Is on it's way, nonetheless!(I hope!)
Blessings!

Thank you so much for sharing this with us thru your camera lens. I have always wanted to go, but forget about it every year. I am going to mark it on my calendar for next year. I am a florist and I have been told about it. The inspiration I could gleen from that show. ~~Sherry~~
