Mosaic Monday ~ Our Saturday

The fun part: The mail lady brought a surprise package for Raider.
He has a special affection for cows and Abbey ordered a new one for him. It met with his approval. She calls it her 'I'm glad you lived' gift :)

The hard part:  This mountain of leaves that covered the yard is just one of two that Jared and I raked and corralled. We used a giant tarp that we raked the leaves onto and then drug it to the curb.  Many a tarp-full were lugged to the curb which probably accounts for my aching back.  The yard is clear but will be totally covered again as the second half of the leaves fall from the trees.  Parking on the street will be limited until the township comes through with their big vacuum trucks.
A Spooky version just for fun.

The spooky version was pretty cute!
I sure hope that there is no big gust of wind after all the work of getting the tarps full of leaves to the curb!

That sure is some pile of leaves ... I don't think I've ever seen a pile quite so big. Over here the leaves get raked into the garden beds to act as mulch or they go on the firepit! A vacuum for leaves is a new one for me ... but of course we don't have Autumn leaves falling here.

ohhh, Raider's new toy looks squashy and nice for cuddling up with! So so glad he is better and on the mend-- and you and your grandson too!

The spooky picture is very cool! We have to bad our leaves, but the Madison- the big city up the road:)- does their at the curb like yours. That is one big pile!

Most of ours actually blew away last Tues. and Wed with the high winds.:) Sorry neighbors!

Have a great week!
Hugs,
Linda

Aren't leaves wondrful! That's pretty neat that you have vacuum trucks to come and pick them up...we have to bag them, mark the bags with an "X" and then put them by the curb for pick up.
Looks like you had a great helper by the way!

How sweet of Abbey to send a gift for Raider. Definitely looks as if he liked it!

Raider sure looks like he's enjoying that cow. I stopped buying those kind of toys for Duke since he shakes the stuffing out of them within an hour.
That sure is a ton of leaves you two raked up. Love the spooky version. It looks terrific

Raidar and his toy are so cute. He is one happy little one and too cute also.

I love the photo of the leaves.
Here on the farm I chop them with my mower and they seem to blow away. I have tree lines where they just stay . Its nice to live in the country . Some leaves are taken away and some left to go back into the earth as fertilizer.

I love trees but that photo makes me a little thankful we dont have any on our property!

Love your cute little puppy! Gosh, does he ever look happy with his cow toy! Isn't that a great lesson -- to find our happiness in the simple things...?
