With a Grateful Prayer and a Thankful Heart: Feeling Better

Feeling Better

Last night was the first that I really felt Raider was okay and acting like himself.  He played a little with a toy for the first time since the bee incident and even did his 'Roly-Poly' where he rolls around on his back. On Monday I saw bruising on his legs and sent photos to the Vet for her opinion.  She thought they looked like bruising from the IV's and catheter but she said to watch for more and that he would not be out-of-the-woods for about  a week or so. Usually problems show up by the third day but sometimes the immune system takes longer to react.  I was so happy to see him playful.

I am feeling better too.  The itching and burning has finally subsided for the most part as well as the anxious feeling I had, probably from the benadryl.  Jared's stings did not swell and redden like mine and healed quickly.
How good to to be getting back to normal!
Like that new hair style Raider is sporting?
He is also a bit stouter with a ravenous appetite! (from the steroids?) I have been giving him a little more food and will work on getting his figure back later.

Such wonderful news. I think that Raider could start a whole new trend in grooming with that look. Duke says to tell him he looks really cool

Praise God for Raider getting better. And I am so thankful you are feeling better..I was getting a little worried. You need to talk to your Dr. about carring an epi pen with ya'll now. Sometimes it just takes one sting for you to have a major life threatening situation on hand now. I know my daughter got stung multiple times by scorpions..now she has to carry a pen for any kind of stings. Just a thought.

Oh! my goodness, i just read of everyone's encounter with bees, especially Raiders. I am so glad that he is up and playing. I am also thankful that your grandson and you are doing well too. What an ordeal.

I caught up on your previous posts too, enjoyed them. Your violets are beautiful I used to have many, but got out of growing them, and after seeing yours I think I might be looking me some.

Fun post of the book signing, I will be checking those recipes you shared. And it sounds like a fun day with your sister too.
Thanks for sharing, and again I am so gla ll is well. Hugs,
Sue

I'm glad everyone, including Raider, is doing so much better!

Raider's poodle cut is very becoming! LOL (o;

And yes the steroids make them VERY hungry (and thirsty). My dog is on them right now too.

Rejoicing with you!

I'm glad to hear all is well so far. Raider is adorable, and I'm glad you are healing well. What a terrible ordeal! I will never forget your bravery and love....to gather him in your arms, bees and all and carry him for help.

Wow - I have been so remiss in getting to all my favorite sites - since starting work again in September. Cant seem to get on a good schedule.

I just read all about your horrible bee event. How brave you were - You must have been frantic to help that sweet little doggie of yours.

Neat how God sends people right at the right time to help out.

I am happy to hear the positive outcome and will hope and pray he continues to heal.

Such trauma, oh my! Is he afraid of the outside now?

Oh, my, I have been out of blog touch lately and just got caught up on the horrible experience you, Jarad and Raider had with bees! I am so glad to read that you are all doing well, and it sounds like Raider got the worst if it. I am so glad he is feeling better, poor little guy. My prayers for him to recover completely and to be back to his old, adorable self soon!
