With a Grateful Prayer and a Thankful Heart: Where Do I Blog? Do You Really Want To Know?

Where Do I Blog? Do You Really Want To Know?

I've been seeing some really lovely places where you sweet ladies work on your blog posts and it caused me to take a look at my own little nook.  Much to my shame I am sharing the most neglected place in my home.  Yep, it's going to reveal some unpleasant things about me.
I enjoy working here at the kitchen table.  However, this oldish, rebuilt laptop is most unfriendly (except if you like blue screen) and is only reliable (usually) using Word.
But, in reality...

this is the place, on a wall unseen from the foyer in an otherwise very nice living room.
It is a desk that one of the kids used when they were little and the only good thing about it is that it is light in color and (sort of) blends in with the wall.  Now on to the dreadful up-close reveal...
1)  Coffee Mug (complete with lipstick smudge).  Sometimes hot coffee, more often Iced-coffee or Hot Tea in the colder months.
2)  Heaps of papers on printer and scattered about.  (all those awesome recipes and interesting ideas from YOU guys)
3)  Glasses of Ice water ~ Do you know beverages taste better in glass with crushed ice and a straw?  They do!
4)  Bet you can't guess how many times I have bought paint and touched up this edge that "NO ONE" ever peels the finish from!!!I think "NO ONE" has an OCD.
5)  A very old, but cherished mouse pad from Erin reminding us that she is still in (and probably always will be) our face and that she is our favorite daughter.  Notice the doodles that the same "NO ONE" has used to highlight various facial features.
6)  This is also a place where most unusual items congregate.  This is a pleasant item. (in contrast to number 8)
7)  A place for lots of notes and post-it's
8)  And, (this is where I'm gonna lose some friends) an inverted glass where I have recently captured two stink bugs and waited for their demise.  Really now, how does one get rid of stink bugs?  I learned the hard way that you don't smash them! Oh, I know.  YOU don't have stink bugs that slam into the bright monitor at night when you are blogging.  sigh...

So, now I am thinking it's time for a make-over.
Thanks girls for one more thing added to my project list.
Love you!

LOL...that is funny, it so goes against all the perfectness of all your sweet posts! My place is in the corner of a office with big windows that look out at the mountains and fields..with a dog at my side too! ;D

Fun post. I blog in two places (depending on the images I might want) ... upstairs in the studio (no way would I photograph that mess) and downstairs on the kitchen table where I can look outside into the garden or have the new kitten on my lap.

Well I must say some beautiful posts come out of this little space. And I did see some sweet lace peeking out of the bottom. Too funny about the stink bugs - I had one land in my hair yesterday!!

I think your space is quite nice. You would probably gasp in horror if you ever saw what mine looks like on a regular basis. Maybe I should show everyone one of these days. Your stink bug glass made me laugh. It sounds like something I would do :)

I think maybe you're the first blogger that has shown me where they blog. It looks like you have a comfy, well used spot there. That might inspire me to share mine.

I agree about the glass, ice and straw.

So this is the place you write all of those creative posts you share with us! I love the pictures of the goodies scattered about, but I must say, we do not have stink bugs (that I know of)! We do, however, have Miller moths that will bomb me if I am blogging with a lamp on. The season for them is past and now it is time to watch out for spiders.

I blog at a sofa table that is, of course, behind our sofa, or sometimes I sit on the sofa, since we have a laptop. It isn't fancy and is often messy, but today it looks fairly good, so maybe I will join in on the fun!

Thank you for sharing! :)

It looks fine to me and as one of your other followers said, you have one of the best and most versatile blog posts of anyone I know. Your baking and your photography are just out of this world! I would buy a coffee table book that you made from you blog posts!

Fun post! Where ever you blog, you do it so well so stay where right you are :)

I blog on a laptop, on the couch, on the bed, wherever there is a TV for background noise and always a cup of coffee!

A true bloggy friend wouldn't let a few stink bugs scare them off! I don't think we have those, thank you! I am sure we have our share of other stinky creatures!

I love that you kept it real. It is fun to see where we all blog.

Not sad, completely real ! That's the best part about this post, it tells the story of YOU ! I think that's what people want to see when they visit, bravo! And I've always got lipstick on my coffee cup too. :-)
Thanks so much for linking up to the party.
