With a Grateful Prayer and a Thankful Heart: At the Playground

At the Playground

Looking for some relief from a hot August evening...

we headed to the neighborhood playground last night.
Brenna and Shaela spent most of their time on the jungle gym
Brenna Meghan trying out all of the equipment.
Shaela being coy with her Pop-Pop
Little monkeys  hangin' loose.
Ryan having a blast!
Jilly and her dad
Cooling down
Pop-Pop batted fly balls for Ryan to catch and then Ryan batted to Pop-Pop.
Quiz:  Guess which boy... is skinny and pale, can complete a 4x4 Rubik's cube in 40 seconds, can beat most on any video game or  Wii and whose best catch is using his hat :) OR the athletic built boy who can slug the ball far into the outfield and never grows tired of playing any kind of ball game.  God gives us all unique talents and skills!

Bet it wasn't hard to determine this is the guy who would rather sport a fedora to a ball cap any day.
Brad saw a pick-up game forming and could not resist the chance to play.
Raider enjoyed the evening as much as the kids with his pink tongue indicating just how hot he was.
Golden late day shadows.
Then home for baths and bedtime.

Your family photos are so captivating. You have an eye for the camera, for sure. The last photo is my favorite although it is hard to choose. That Raider looks like a spit-fire. I'm sure the kids really enjoy spending time with the dog. It is so humid here in Ontario that I am happy to have lots to do indoors. Mustn't complain though, summer will be over soon and then we'll be grumbling about that. Hugs, Deb =^..^=x5

You have such a beautiful family Lorraine. The park looks like a great place to spend the evening hours. Glad to see Raider enjoying himself too. Thank you for sharing such joyful images.

Oh Lorraine you have excelled yourself with this post, what precious photographs. Love the stories that go with them too. Sorry I haven't been around for a while, I am very very busy at work and only doing minimum blogging and blog hopping, but I'm still here!

Hey Lorraine. I know I've said it before but your photos are so wonderful. I just love how bold and captivating they are. Really, they are so beyond words. You are so talented. Do you use all kinds of special lenses? The outdoor ones are just moving. Just curious what kind of camera do you use? Not that the camera would help much for me but mine is so old and it takes terrible pictures but as the operator, I can honestly say the main flaw lies with operator malfunction.

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your prayers more than I can possibly let you know.

Hugs...Tracy :)

The girls eyes are so pretty. Love that dark ring of color around the lighter color. Very striking. God sure knows how to create beauty! Looked like a great time!
