Outdoor Wednesday ~ Hot, Hot, Hot!

The temperature yesterday and today in the shade.

The temperature in the direct sun
(is that possible?)
No rain or relief till possibly Sunday.

We are constantly watering to keeps flowers and bushes from wilting and browning out or dying completely.

This someone would rather remain inside with air conditioning.
This someone, as well as all of his friends would rather be burrowing and uprooting everywhere including every pot and window box we have.
We are trying to reduce our population of these cute but annoying little rodents.
Using a havahart trap, John has caught 17 chipmunks this week alone and relocated them to a distant wooded area.
That's a lot of chipmunks considering we live on a lot just 1/3 of an acre.

Joining Susan @A Southern Daydreamer for Outdoor Wednesday!

Melting in North of Philly too (no rain for weeks)... I agree, the little guy in the trap is cuter than pie, but somewhere else!

Beautiful flowers! What a colorful yard you have!
I can understand why the chipmunks like to visit you!

We hit 104 degrees actual temp today with the promise of a high of 107 tomorrow. I'm with Raider ~inside with the AC for me!

I think summer has finally arrived here in the great PNW! From only 68* yesterday, to 82* today and supposed to be in the 90*s here on Thursday! More of the same from thru the weekend! Did I mention that I don't do well in the heat? I'm with Raider, I'd rather be inside with air conditioning ~ only we don't have a.c.! :~{

From the looks of your lovely mosaic, your flowers are thriving on the regimen of constant watering! So lovely!

Oh, the busy little chipmunks! They are distructive like our deer! Wish they had havahart big enough for them! :~O
Stay Cool!

It has been very very hot here as well. Although not quite as hot as you have it. I am ready for it to cool down a bit. As much as I love summer this stuff is no fun.

Oh I love the dog - he's so cute - is it yours?
We have hot summer weather in Germany as well. But we had such a cold and rainy spring - everyone is just happy and enjoys even the heat...
Have a great day! Claudia

Love the pictures of the temperature! Ours is a wireless one that sits in the sun and it's a hoot to see that it will read 116 in the sun. Our mastiff will beg to go out then scratch within a couple of minutes panting to get back in. I enjoyed coming and visiting hope you can stop by my place soon. Debbie
