Outdoor Wednesday ~ Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

John was given three tickets to see the Philadelphia Phillies play the Colorado Rockies on Friday evening along with tickets to the High and Inside Pub where we got a bite to eat.
It was one of Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer with temps in the high 90's,  The heat index in the stadium didn't drop below 94 all evening.
But that didn't stop us from having a great time!
Me and My Guy!

Back to the ballgame...
Abbey and John waiting for the stands to fill.
Abbey and I.
Abbey isn't really snarling in this photo.  She is sketching this...
from our seats directly behind home plate...

...almost to nose-bleed alley.

My favorite shot of the evening.
A looks that says, 'Mom, I'm gonna break your camera.'
But I still love her!  And, I know she's going to get nice to me in a few more years.
:)
A beautiful summer view of the city skyline.
Lots of cheering fans.
Pitcher Roy Halladay
and, of course, The Phillie Phanatic!
Phillies won 6-0
Roy Halladay cruised through eight innings, Raul Ibanez drove in three runs with three hits and Philadelphia beat the Colorado Rockies 6-0 for its second consecutive shutout.

I always try to return the favor and indeed, I really enjoyed the beautiful photographs. My favorite is the skyline of the city - BEAUTIFUL! I'm a fan of skylines . . . your daughter, ABBEY is an artist? Wow, if she just whipped that out, then she is REALLY impressive!

Lovely blog, lovely family, lovely you!

Blessings

Love how you broke out in song right in the middle of your post.lol. Your guy looked pretty happy to be at that ball game. Baseball is the one sport that I actually understand and can enjoy. I know that look on Abbey's face, I get it all the time. The only difference is it looks cuter on Abbey than it does on my husband...lol

My sweet husband would love this...and I would too... A beautiful night at the ball game. I love how you included that song, I love it too. Your guy is a handsome husband and a lucky man to have such a beautiful wife. Your daughter is a beauty too and boy can she sketch! Thanks for sharing :D

Loved this! Your pics are great and you look lovely. We're into our second year of retirement now and visiting all of the MLB ballparks is on our list of must-dos (on The Man's list mainly, but I do enjoy a good baseball game). It's been fun.

What fantastic photos of the ballgame! Glad you all had a blast, even in the heat. Your daughter did a great pencil sketch of the game.

Abbey must get her creative eye from you! You take wonderful photographs, and she draws beautifully. I'm so glad you enjoyed yourselves! We all need to get away once in awhile, and family makes those little getaways all the more special!

Living where we do, pro ball games aren't close by, but a few years ago we took our then-at-home daughters to a Rockies game in Denver. It was a lot of fun, but I cannot remember who won!

Great pics of you and "your guy" (that song may stay on my mind this evening!), and Abbey's sketch is so good! Fun memories!
