With a Grateful Prayer and a Thankful Heart

On one of the few evenings in the past several weeks that was cool enough to enjoy the outdoors, John and I headed to a nearby park/playground  for a picnic dinner. Abbey was working but we brought Raider so he could also enjoy walking around the pond after we had finished eating.
It was really nice to just relax and so good to spend some down time with my best friend.

That quiet mutual gaze of a trusting husband and wife is like the first moment of rest or refuge from a great weariness or a great danger--not to be interfered with by speech or action which would distract the sensations from the fresh enjoyment of repose.

Beautiful mosaic Lorraine. Looks like a lovely evening to be outside ~ Raider looks especially frisky! Food just always tastes better eaten like a picnic!

Your mosaic captures the special times spent with each other, the simple times enjoyed in the quiet of God's creation. Although, perhaps Raider had something to say to the geese!

Laurie

Nice mosaic. Had to chuckle at the shot your hubby eatting his sandwich. I agree, having your best friend as your spouse is wonderful.

What a treat to be able have a picnic at the park. A change of scenery is often a refreshing thing to do. I am sure that Raider loved it.

Aw, that is so sweet, Lorraine. While I walk a lot with my husband, I never thought of packing a picnic... :) Thanks for sharing your lovely evening at MM. :)
