Family Friends and Fireworks for the Fourth of July

Small town America celebrating Independence Day with backyard barbecues, flag waiving and a parade with bands, fire engines, motorcycle formations and candy tosses for the excited little ones.

Then off to the fireworks.
...and the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there...

A visit to Mays Landing to visit John's Aunt Marie who tuned 93 in June
Then to my sisters for another BBQ and to visit with her precious family.  Her military son, Tom, is home for the weekend.  This is the young man who already has had two tours in Iraq.
(I'm sorry I didn't get any photos)
This is Bella.
She was rescued by my SonIL's cousin and is a happy girl!
She enjoyed the parade but not as much as all of the attention she received!
Oh, her mama makes the best Blackberry Cobbler!
Tonight... more festivities and more fireworks in our town.
As Jamie says, "It's Summ-ah!"

You have captured the spirit of the 4th of July in your mosaics, and I can almost hear the patrotic music playing in the parade! The mosaic of Aunt Marie is precious, sharing the blessings of family. I'm glad you had a wonderful day; so did we!

Hello Miss. Lorraine,

I love what a great camera and a talented eye can capture. I'm glad you had such a wonderful 4th.

My family and some good friends went to Freedom Celebration here in So Cal...they had awesome christian bands playing...a moving message and testimony by a pastor from East L..A. who spoke of his previous life as a gang member...and the best firework show that seemed to last forever. We were so blessed.

Stop by and say hello!
