With a Grateful Prayer and a Thankful Heart: The Guest Room

The Guest Room

After our twin daughters married and moved to their new homes, I converted their bedroom into a reading/garden/relaxing room. I took the plunge and painted the walls a deep Country Rose color and used roses in many accents.
This pretty porcelain clocked fit in perfectly.

We enjoyed reading , talking and having a place that was set aside from the rest of the house.
But, we did not have a guest room for when Jill and Brad came to visit. As grandchildren came along we needed a bedroom again.
Though I enjoyed the vibrant color for a (short) time, my preference for white and neutral colors won out and we were ready once again for those sweet little visitors to snuggle into bed when their little eyes grow sleepy.
This is how the room has looked for the past six years.

Your clock is beautiful and your white room is also! I'm just not brave enough to go completely white yet, I love the dark burgundy on your litte wicker sofa!

The clock is beautiful ~ and the "before" room looked comfy & cozy. But I love the white bedroom. It looks so calm & restful.
I've always had a lot of color around me and I'm growing tired of it. My home is slowly changing to a much more neutral pattern.

The porcelain clock is beautiful. The reading room is very pretty, but the bedroom is so lovely. I like the white.

Your guestroom is absolutely beautiful! You've also proven that small spaces can be very functional as well as gorgeous. I love the white palette. My bedroom is quite small and ready for a makeover.

Your garden room is beautiful but I understand about needing a change. I love the new room with its neutral back drop so you still can add some beautiful roses for your guests. Thanks for sharing

Just wondering how you got the Bible in a Year button on your blog. I have been looking for something like this for my blog.
