Mosaic Monday ~ Flowering Stephanotis

John bought me a stephanotis plant from our local Produce Junction in early December. Its sweetly fragrant flowers were enjoyed all through the Christmas holiday. It wintered in front of a south facing window in our dining room and much to my delight, is flowering once again and brimming with more buds.

Besides the amazing scent of the beautiful white flowers, this plant is special to us because I carried it in my bridal bouquet and John wore it in his tuxedo lapel.
Our love has endured going on 35 years (in October) despite the 70's side burns, platform shoes, polyester tuxedos and ruffled shirts! This is one fashion trend I don't think you will ever see returning!

Wonderful mosaic, your wedding must have been the same as mine. Brown tux's, but you look so happy then and still do. Take care:)

Mmmm. I love stephanotis. When I was teenager I worked Saturdays in my grandparent's florist shop. Stephanotis reminds me of them. :)

Your wedding photo made me smile and your comments. I think we were wearing matching bridal attire. Of course my husband wore a ruffled shirt too. My FIL wore a blue tux with a ruffled shirt that day. My husband purchased two poly leisure suits for the honeymoon too. So funny when I think of it:-) Well I thought he looked amazing in his baby blue leisure suit with his John Travolta poly printed shirt. Oh yes we even took Hustle dance lessons when I was 9 months pregnant one year. Not sure I want to relive those poly days:-)

Hi, so good to see you again. I've been back in the hospital with more surgeries. Sorry I had never gotten a chance to answer you back. Yes, it is a small world and how funny that you use to live here where I do.
I love your mosaics! Gosh, you looked so beautiful on your wedding day! Congrats to you and your husband on your Anniversary! How wonderful and precious! I hope that you have a lovely new week.
Hugs...

I can see why these flowers are so special!- just beautiful and so delicate looking. Loved the wedding pictures!

We will celebrate 35 yrs. also in late June! 1975 was good year, huh?!:) Yeah, wish we would have re-thought that blue tux-dh will never live that down with our kids!:) But again, that was the 70's!

Have a great week!

Linda
