Chillin' and Stressin'

Several times each day we walk Raider on his leach around the house. Sitting very still in a little bare spot next to a wooden fire wood holder, I noticed this bunny. (kind of looks one ear-ed in this photo) He is pretty unafraid and will let us get as close as three or four feet.

This can't-miss-a-trick fellow follows me where ever I go.
Watching me snip some herbs outside the side door, he's wondering why
I am outdoors and he is not.
Here he is on chipmunk patrol. Our population has grow considerably this year and they frequently scurry across the patio. Sure hope they don't become a problem!
Our ever alert sentry protecting his family and home...
...with a snort and bark!

Good Evening Lorraine, Raider is so cute. He looks a little upset that he's not helping you snip those herbs! That bunny is sweet too. Hope you have a good night.

What a sweet little companion- he looks too cute to be a hunter!

We don't see many rabbits around here-are they considered pests over your way? The farmers around here don't like them at all!

Best wishes for a great week,
Natasha.

Your blog is so peaceful and inviting and hospitable. Your schnauzer is adorable...I have a bichone that thinks I am the cat's meow, so I know just how you feel about Raider.

We have a large Yorkie terrier that is fearless in the face of bears, skunks (yes, they exchanged pleasantries once), fox, deer, etc. Wish we had more of the little creatures. Although, there would be commotion here all day if they were regular visitors like this. CU-UTE!

That first picture Raider looks like he means business. Almost as if he's saying "I just dare you to cross this line"...lol He's such a cutie.

Great shots of Raider! Love all the different expressions on his face. My yellow lab watches me intently and follows me everywhere. It is amazing how docile your bunny visitor is.

I just had to laugh when I saw Raider's all-business face as he was on chipmunk patrol! A song from the movie "Milo and Otis" came to mind; if you are familiar with it, it is the song "Here comes the dogs, strong and brave..." and then the poor but brave dog falls into a hole.

I relly enjoyed this post; you have a wonderful way with words photography!

In joy,
Laurie

Raider is such a handsome dog! Very alert and intelligent looking. I'm happy he does not hurt the bunny ... and I hope the chipmunks are smart enough to tun away and not come back. :-)
