We spent this afternoon in Philadelphia visiting the
Rodin Museum as a part of the many summer assignments required by Abbey's AP art. School begins September 8th and she had to complete 12 art works before classes begin as well as visit a museum and write a report.
The weather was perfect and we enjoyed being together.
We did not see
The Thinker as the building front is being renovated and that piece is being housed elsewhere until it can be moved back to it's position.
(Over twenty casts of the sculpture are in museums around the world)

A bust of Victor Hugo

Abbey contemplating something...
probably the fact that she'd rather not go to work tonight :(

Driving about the city we saw William Penn on top of City Hall.

A closer view of the beautiful architecture.

I packed a picnic lunch and on the way home we stopped to eat at
Cooper River Park

beautiful and relaxing
