Perhaps you have read this most amazing journey of a lovely young woman and her fight with Cystic Fibrosis. Her dear husband has chronicled their story of faith, love, and hope through many medical procedures, pregnancy, double lung transplant and the very premature birth of Baby Gwyneth Rose. Above all, it is a tribute to the faithfulness of God throughout each step of their walk.
Gwyneth Rose was born at 24 weeks and 4 days gestation, weighing just under 1 lb 6 oz and measuring 12 inches long. But look at her now!

First Project of the New Year ~ Scherenschnitte/Papercutting

Today I was able to work on a project that has been on my list for a long time. I made a few Scherenschnitte/papercuttings many years ago and liked the look. So, here is what I accomplished the last two days. As you can see, they are simple patterns. In the past, I worked with scissors, but I tried my hand using an X-acto knife for these cuts.

A Cute But Noisy Schnauzer

A cute little guy with the softest fur! This sweet face belies the nasty greeting of barking and snorting everyone who comes to the door receives. Once "intruders" are inside for a few minutes, he is quick to offer a stuffed animal to play with and a friendly demeanor. He's as gentle as can be with the grandchildren and babies ~ but very protective. I love him to pieces, but wish he didn't bark at every human and dog he sees.

This furry tangle is currently at the groomers. I prefer his locks long and curly cause he's just so snuggley. Sadly, he tends to get pretty matted ~ so clipping is needed. I'll be heading back to pick him up shortly.
