Show and Tell ~ Lane Hope Chest

Do you remember these sweet little hope chests? The high schools in our area gave one to each senior girl upon graduation. I received one as did my older girls ~ Abbey graduates this year and we'll see if the tradition continues.

I do remember those little ceder chests! I always wanted one of the big hope chests, but they were way more than anyone I knew would pay! They used to give the little ones out when I was in high school (yes!the groovey '70's)but my girls never received one when they graduated.
By the way ~ you haven't changed at all! ;~}
Thanks for the memories!

Oh yes! I remember those. I had one - got it in the 60's. I don't remember what happened to it - I know I had it for many years later. You have not changed.

Yes, I still have mine. Although the furniture store that used to do it stopped the tradition. I got a real Lane hope chest as a graduation present from my parents.

Love the old photos!

I, too, received one of those little hope chests, and I still have it. It is full of treasures from high school and college. I am visiting our grandsons in Minnesota this week, but I will have to get it out of its safe-keeping spot when I get home and have a walk down Memory Lane!

I had a large cedar hope chest, Lori. I sold it years ago. Now we have a cedar closet. :-)

You still look young and beautiful!

My mom has one. She keeps a really old doll in hers. I always wanted one, but never got one. You should see my senior high school photo from 1976. Then again, maybe not.
