Front Porch Living for Show and Tell

Remember my grumbling about making the new cushion covers and pillows here? Well, now that the air has warmed and the birds have returned, the front porch has again become a very enjoyable place to be.
~
Daisies in a sprinkling can sit atop a little round wicker table.

The coveted swing that was once a broken settee ~ revamped many years ago and given a new life. And a geranium that I was able to winter over from last year

White pansies planted in the window boxes in the fall will need to be replaced with white inpatients as the temperatures begin to climb. Notice the blooming rhododendron peeking from behind the swing... the one I chopped to the ground as I prepared to rip it out. Two inexpensive little cuties I couldn't resist. Peeking through the spiderwortLots of seating but still not enough for all the grandkids! No annuals yet to fill the hanging planter (a birthday gift from a friend), the urns and the beds. I really wish I could fine pretty annuals in yellow other than marigolds. Any suggestions?
Ever faithful Hostas.

That is just the cutest sitting area I have seen. I LOVE your new fabric. I have very good success with yellow million bells. They are like mini petunias, but do not ever have to be dead-headed and bloom like crazy all summer. Thanks for sharing such cheerful pictures.

I love the black and white theme, and that you re-purposed the setee into a swing! I've been wanting a swing for over 14years...ahhh to dream.

Enjoy!

Beautiful porch! I love it, and the colors are so unique. I love different combinations like that. And how cool to turn an old setee into a porch swing!

I see pictures of Raider on your side bar. We have a mini schnauzer too. He is SUCH a wonderful dog! We got him from the pound believe it or not. They had rescued him from a puppy mill! His name is Fritz. He loves the whole family and is great with my small children!

You have a lovely place to relax. I've always loved porches best. We have a deck, but I long for a white porch, maybe someday.

Thanks for the beautiful visit, I like hibiscus too, Hawaii has the only one 'found' in the world with a scent. Perhaps I can swap pictures of my Koki`okea for your scripture recipe for our Youth Group. Raliegh (Lahaina)
