Show and Tell Friday ~ Sunny Days

As a child, I was given this sweet book by an aunt. I don't know when or how she aquired it, but if you look at the third photo you will see it was patened November 22, 1887.

What a sweet book. I love old books and have several cherished ones including a tiny old hymnal from the 1850's with a brass clasp.

I so love these!! In fact when I go shopping at antique stores and used book stores, I actually find myself LOOKING/Shopping for the old books. There is just something about old books....yours is fantastic.

My Show n Tell is all about afghans today. If you can get a chance, do stop by. Happy Friday.

I love old books, especially old cookbooks and books on homemaking. My husband has a small collection of old farming books. What a thoughtful gift for your aunt to give you.
Thanks for sharing and enjoy the first official day of Spring.

What an awesome book! Love, love, LOVE it! We're always looking for treasures like that, maybe next week I'll share some of our old books (though none of them are as nice and old as this one).

LDH, I love old books., my daughter was given one similar to this by an Aunt that was a teacher. She was born in 1903 and was a teacher early in life...I'll have to have her check the copyright on it... Very sweet treasure you have there! ;) ~CC Catherine

What a precious keepsake. When you mention "show and tell", it reminded me that when my little sister Mildred was born, I was in 2nd grade, and every week at school for show and tell, I would say, "Mildred is two weeks old, three weeks old, four...."
How many weeks old would she be now?

Hi, this is Joy @ goodmorningmarysunshine, but I am commenting on behalf of 'So Blessed' at 'New Day, New Season'. She says you leave such nice comments on her blog, but she is unable to leave a comment on your blog--she is trying to figure out what to do, but is stumped at the moment. I know she'll keep working at it, she just does not want you to think that she is 'snubbing' you! And I think that book is totally cute! Thanks for sharing.

What a sweet, sweet book! I love the black and white illustrations. They give the reader so much opportunity to fill in the visual blanks and continue to create the story in their mind.

Oooh, I like your book. Very much! I clicked on the pic and read what I could. What a delightful and charming story. I have recently been relaxing with A.A. Milne's famous Winnie the Poo. A special friend of mine now too. =)
