Show and Tell Friday ~ Antique Plate

This plate belonged to my husbands parents. I know very little about it or how they acquired it. The back has a stamp that reads MIGNON Z.S. & C BAVARIA. Wish I knew more about it and its origins. Visit Kelli for more Show and Tell Friday
Show and Tell
Accomplished: Thirteen new Cushion/Pillows (and a table topper) ... just have to hand stitch them closed...
and he is thinking I made all of these just for him!

What a lovely plate.
It was very kind of you to make the dog so many plush pillows! ha
If you had made or bought these for the dog they would go unused for sure!!!

Hi there...your plate is a lovely example of a "Mignon" (meaning delicate), portrait plate. It was made by Z.S. (Zeh Scherzer) & CO who operated in Bavaria back in the 1880's...now, the fun will be to find out who the portrait is of!
Z.S. had many patterns under the "Mignon" label.
Hope this helps a little!

Blessings,
Susie

I LOVE THAT VERY BEAUTIFUL PLATE.
PRETTY PILLOWS AND EVERY SCHNAUZER THINKS ALL PILLOWS AND BLANKETS AND FURNITURE WERE MADE FOR THEM. THEY ARE WONDERFUL DOGS BUT I'M PARTIAL TO THEM.

Beautiful job on the cushions! Strangely, my cat loves to lounge on my sewing projects as well. For that reason, I am frequently searching for my lint brush!
