good smells coming from the kitchen today…
These sweet little Tassies are like having bite-sized pecan pie. Sometimes they are called Nut Lassies and they are a personal favorite of mine.
Tassies
Makes 4 dozen
2 cups sifted flour
2 3-ounce pkg cream cheese, softened
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
Pecan Filling (recipe follows)
Cream flour, cream cheese and butter. Wrap in plastic and chill. Shape into walnut sized balls. Press each ball into an ungreased mini muffin pan cup, onto bottom and sides. Fill each cup with Pecan Filling. Bake in preheated 350 oven for 25 minutes. Cool. Store in refrigerator.
Pecan Filling
3 Tbs. unsalted butter, melted
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
2 cups light brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp salt.
In a mixing bowl, stir together all ingredients just until smooth. Use as directed for Tassies.

These Tassies also freeze well. I prefer to layer between waxed paper in holiday tins.

@Seeking Glitter and Grace: So glad you stopped by. My grandson’s aren’t fond of tea either, but the little girls love it ~ especially with sugar cubes and lots of cream đ I enjoyed seeing your Christmas decorating. I think the wall color of your living room is the same aqua color as my dining room. Thanks for posting the Marshmallow recipe. My oldest grandson (age 11) loves marshmallows and I have wanted to try my hand at making them. The hardest part seems to letting then sit overnight. Maybe a January project. Merry Christmas. (I will be praying for you about the pain you are having in your back, neck, arms and hands)

Wow, it all looks so unbelievably delicious! I wish I were a neighbor of yours so I could pop over for some tea and sweets. Just reading through your “About Me” makes me think we have a lot in common – except for the daughters and granddaughters. I have 3 boys! (I do pray I’ll have graddaughters someday. Needless to say, we don’t have many tea parties around here đ
P.S. I am really enjoying your background music. Oftentimes, I turn off the blog music, as I find it distracting, but this is ethereal and lovely.
